This stable parquet floor is made of a hardwood top layer and a highly stable underlay. This parquet is exceptionally well suited to our changeable climate with frequent humidity fluctuations.

Building up a duoplank floor

A multi-layer parquet, a duoplank parquet floor is built up of two layers. The multiplex underlay is 9 to 15 mm thick, while the hardwood top layer varies between 3 and 6 mm. Kerkhofs Parket delivers duoplank floors that are fully tailored to your wishes in widths of 9 to no less than 30 cm. You can order this type of parquet floor in over 20 wood varieties. The most widely used wood type is European oak here also.

Finish and installation of a duoplank floor

Kerkhofs Parket delivers duoplank floors both untreated and treated. Treatment is possible using lacquer or oil, depending on the intended end result. An untreated duoplank floor must always be lightly sanded and oiled after installation.

Advantages of duoplanks

The layered structure of duoplanks prevents the parquet from warping. In addition, this type of floor is perfectly suited to a floating installation. Combining it with floor heating does not pose a problem. This type of parquet (up to a thickness of 16 mm) is perfectly suitable for our climate and its constantly fluctuating humidity levels.
